Phase II data
=============

The HapMap project is happy to announce a new release containing  
Phase II data.

The data in this release are from 6 chromosomes, and includes all  
processed genotypes from Phase I and II on these chromosomes.  The  
data is the complete set for the YRI and CEU samples.  The data is  
incomplete on Phase II for the JPT and CHB samples.

This release only includes new files for the 6 chromosomes.  The data  
contained is all HapMap data, from both phase I and II.  For the  
remainder of the genome, please
refer to the files from release 16c.1 for the most current data.

very shortly.

It is anticipated that the next major release, including all  
genotypes from phase II, will occur in the first part of October.


Recombination Maps
==================

Data on recombination rates are available for download, courtesy of  
Peter Donnelly, Gil McVean and Simon Myers of the Mathematical  
Genetics Group (http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/mathgen) at the Department  
of Statistics in Oxford (http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk). The data will  
shortly be accessible via the GBrowse graphical viewer.
