[HapMap announcements] HapMap data release (#16, Mar05) available on project website: Phase I / 5Kb map dataset

Dear Hapmap Announcements list subscriber. We're happy to announce that 
HapMap Mar05 data release (rel#16) is now available on the project 
website, http://www.hapmap.org and also the Japanese mirror site 
http://hapmap.jst.go.jp within days. ATTN: This the so-called Phase I 
data freeze which marks a major milestone of the project: a genotyped 
common SNP every 5Kb in all populations under study.

   Current status: 1,073,663 SNPs genotyped in CEPH, 1,044,686 SNPs in 
Han Chinese, 1,044,416 SNPs in Japanese and 1,034,205 SNPs in Yoruba.

New in this release:
-Non-redundant, cleaned dataset now available (see download READMEs for 
details)
-Raw, unfiltered dataset now available (see download READMEs for 
details)
-New GBrowse track showing Sequence Tagged Sites. All STSes in UniSTS
   shown, enables query by any marker alias in UniSTS (example: D3S1621)
-Changes to RefSeq mRNA and LocusLink GBrowse tracks:
   -updated to latest UCSC hg16/B34 annotations
   -full LL summary text added, enables more extensive keyword search
    where summary available for locus (example: glucokinase)
