Dear Hapmap Announcements list subscriber. Data release #16c/June05 is
now available on the project website, http://www.hapmap.org, and also
the Japanese mirror site http://hapmap.jst.go.jp within days. Due to
delays in getting this data freeze ready for release, we are releasing
only the genotype files at this time to enable users to access primary
data without further delay. The usual allele & genotype frequencies and
other supplementary data, including an updated graphical browser, will
follow shortly (1/2-3 days). Apologies for any inconvenience this
causes users who make use of the supplementary data.
Current status: 1,105,072 SNPs genotyped in CEPH, 1,088,689 SNPs in
Han Chinese, 1,088,426 SNPs in Japanese and 1,076,451 SNPs in Yoruba.
Please see the release notes at
http://www.hapmap.org/downloads/index.html#release for breakdown by
chromosome and further details about this release.
ATTN: A number of problems were found in the March release (#16a),
affecting a small number of SNPs. Most of the issues were fixed in
interim release #16b last week. However, this release #16c fixes
remaining issues and as such defines the final Phase I dataset on which
analyses for the upcoming primary HapMap publication are based. Please
see http://www.hapmap.org/downloads/datafreeze.html for more
information on the #16* series, including description of problems found
in #16a and lists of affected SNPs.
On behalf of the HapMap Data Coordination Center (DCC) team at
CSHL, best regards.
